PRINCIPAL PERFORMANCES
Municipal Albergue of Peregrinos Jesús Otero
The route north of Camino de Santiago has a required stop at la Colegiata de Santillana del Mar.
Beside and around it is the Jesús Otero Museum, one building has been refurbished with 16 spaces that which makes it very warm and cozy for the pilgrims.
Recovery and maintenance of parks and natural areas
The recovery of fountains and water troughs in Arroyo, Herrán and Viveda, they recover degraded areas for those who enjoy walking in a natural setting with great charm and beauty.
Another objective is to provide modern equipment to be used in public spaces in order to improve their conditions. This has provided Santa Justa beach with solar streetlights to allow its visitors extra beach and recreational time.
Jesús Otero and Trasera Juan Infante Cobblestone Streets
The traditional form of paving a street in Santillana del Mar, encachado (cobblestone), uneven paving with stone or boulders have been placed on streets that had not yet been paved.
The delicate and complex work now allows better traffic through these two pathways.

Santillana del Mar is a town that demands the utmost care and respect because of it's rich heritage, residents and visitors who enjoy a unique environment that deserves a relaxing time, enabling them to enjoy the charm of the town.
Town Cultural Proposal Support
Santillana del Mar is an eminently cultural destination, based on its artistic and historical features along with the Altamira Cave.
But Santillana has many more activities in the area ranging from demonstrations on the importance of the over 50 year old Christmas Parade and the performance of the Auto Sacramental, which has been declared a Regional Tourist Attraction, along with the festivals, processions, pilgrimages, and picnics of the ten villages.
Participation in Trade Fairs and Tourism Marketing
It has participated in the main national tourism fairs and presented the range of tourist services during marketing days while focusing on the features of Santillana del Mar.
