The Christmas Parade which is celebrated every year on the 5th of January in Santillana and the Auto Sacramental, are events that have been declared Regional Tourist Attractions.

The celebration is preceded by Christmas Carol recitals in all the churches of the villages of the municipality plus the Nativity-Manger contest that the neighbours can participate in and is free to all. One can appreciate the imagination, dedication and commitment that are put into its preparation.

Auto Sacramental Scenes:

1. Roman edict through the streets of the town.
2. St. Joseph and the Virgen towards the Portal.
3. Meeting of St. Joseph and Ellcicer on Cantón Street.
4. Meeting of Joseph and Maria with the Innkeeper on Santo Domingo Street.
5. Inauguration of the Belén Viviente (nativity-manger) in the Plaza Mayor.
6. Annunciation of the Angel to the Sheppards in the plaza of the Colegiata.
7. Arrival of the Royal Emissaries.
8. Arrival of the Three Wise Men from the Orient into town.
